Cloud Based Networking
A cloud-based architecture for connecting devices anywhere in the world to the people who need to monitor and act on their data.
System overview
Tenodon develops cloud-connected systems that allow devices deployed anywhere
to be monitored, managed, and accessed from anywhere.
The system combines device connectivity, real-time data streaming, cloud storage,
and a web-based administrative portal into a unified architecture.
Administrative portal
A central web-based portal provides control over the entire system:
- User management (accounts, roles, permissions)
- Device registration and provisioning
- Assignment of devices to users
- Assignment of devices to viewers or monitoring groups
- Management of organizations, divisions, or customer groups
Data and streaming
- Real-time streaming of device data for remote monitoring
- Cloud storage of device data and generated reports
- Viewing and analysis through browser-based interfaces
- Report generation, viewing, and printing
Designed for applications where timely access to device data is critical.
Multi-tenant architecture
The system is designed to support multiple independent organizations within a single platform.
- Separate data environments for each company or division
- Independent sets of users, devices, and viewers
- Secure isolation between organizations
- Flexible structure for scaling across customers or business units
Device onboarding
The architecture supports simple onboarding and provisioning of devices:
- Secure device registration
- Assignment to users or organizations
- Configuration through the administrative portal
- Scalable approach for deploying large numbers of devices
Platform and security
The system is built on Microsoft Azure, leveraging its built-in infrastructure for:
- Authentication and identity management
- Secure communication and data protection
- Scalable compute and storage
- Monitoring, logging, and operational resilience
Generalized architecture
While initially developed for remote patient monitoring, the architecture is intentionally generic.
It can connect any type of device or sensor to any group of users who need to
view, analyze, and act on the data.
- Medical devices and patient monitoring systems
- Industrial sensors and equipment monitoring
- Environmental or field-based data collection systems
